For the sixth consecutive year, the bachelor's study programme "Computer Science" offered by UL Faculty of Computing has become the most recommended study programme of Employers' Confederation of Latvia (LDDK) and the career portal "prakse.lv". UL ranks second in the list of educational institutions.

Dean of the Faculty of Computing, Professor Zane Bičevska: “Achieving the status of the study programme most recommended by employers is the highest award that a higher education institution can receive, and we are very proud and honoured that employers of Latvia have considered our bachelor's programme in computer science to be the best in Latvia for the sixth consecutive year. This motivates us toward ever higher aspirations. We are happy for all our graduates who enrich Latvia's IT industry and contribute to the development of our country.”

The top of the study programme list composed by employers is complemented by several study programmes of UL: “Communication Science” (bachelor) ranks 10th, while the 16th place is taken by “Management” (bachelor), the 18th – by “Law” (bachelor), the 19th – by “Accounting, Analysis and Auditing” (professional bachelor), the 21th – “Economics” (bachelor). Altogether, employers assessed 566 study programmes.

This year, 2 681 employers contributed to preparation of the list reflecting the most recommended study places and programmes.
