The “FORTHEM Alliance” is launching its second call in 2020/2021 for short-term mobility applications. It is the third call of the programme. FORTHEM aims to open up new possibilities for students to travel and study in FORTHEM Alliance universities.

Between 15 March and 20 April 2021, students from all partner universities are invited to apply for collective or individual short-term mobility in 2021. Detailed information on the projects, FAQ and the application form are accessible here.

Collective mobility programmes cater to students of different levels and areas of studies, some of them are open to all, others are more specialised and targeted at specific groups of students. It allows students to be part of a group of approximately 35 students, 5 from each of the partner universities, who will meet physically on site in one university. There are 8 new collective short-term mobility programmes that are being organised from September 2021 to February 2022, giving you a chance to take part in an organised week-long activity (5 days maximum on site). Unless otherwise specified, English will be the main language spoken in all the programmes. General information for all 8 proposed programmes can be found here.

Individual mobilities are for students who have a study project for which they need to travel alone to one of our partner universities for a maximum period of 10 days on site during the study programme; this can be funded by the FORTHEM alliance (travel costs, accommodation and living expenses).

Company Internships 2020–2021

Did you know that you can work at a company located in another FORTHEM country? Or that you can peep as an intern into the activities of a lab or an office of another FORTHEM university? If not, please take a look at our internship offers and find out if any of them match your profile!

Check the deadline of each offer you are interested in and apply for it if you are in time.

Before applying for an offer, don't forget to read carefully through the call to get all the information you need about applying, application review process, contacting us about funding and accommodation, and documents that you need to submit.

This is a unique opportunity to get to know another country from a real-life perspective! On the other hand, as we are still in the middle of a global health crisis, you may be able to find a virtual internship through FORTHEM and thus gain an insight into a foreign organisation from your home office.

Civic Engagement Projects

Are you a student of the FORTHEM Alliance and interested in volunteering? Have you always wanted to get involved and have not yet found the right project? FORTHEM would like to guide you.

Please check our call for proposals on Civic Engagement Projects 2021 and find out what options you have to set up a project, what added value you will get from participating in a FORTHEM volunteering project and what kind of support FORTHEM will give you.

There is no fixed deadline: the call will be open until 15 FORTHEM projects are in place. FORTHEM already finances 2 projects and is waiting for 13 new projects.

Don't miss the chance to meet FORTHEM students from other countries and create a European team!
