On December 10th at 18:00 the online lecture “The EU after the Corona crisis – start to a stronger and more solidary EU?” by Dr. Siebo M. H. Janssen (European University of Applied Sciences Brühl) will take place.

The Corona crisis confronts the EU by the crucial question once again whether it will develop further as a community of solidarity with collectively responsible policy areas or it will be shattered respectively weakened by nationalistic selfishness and antagonism. Dr. Janssen emphasizes that it will be essential for the future of the EU that Germany and France as self-proclaimed powers of European integration have the courage and strength to act together and conceive the EU as a future project. These and other questions will be discussed in the lecture.

Dr. Siebo M. H. Janssen is a political scientist and historian. He has studied political science, recent and contemporary history, public international law and European law as well as state and legal philosophy as master at the universities of Cologne, Bonn, Münster and Nijmegen (the Netherlands). Dr. Janssen is a lecturer at the European University of Applied Sciences in Brühl as well as at the Academy for International Education in Bonn. Dr. Janssen has released numerous publications on study fields European Politics, International Relations as well as Political Systems of Benelux countries.
