June 25 is the opening date for electronic application for studies at the University of Latvia (UL). The UL has started the admissions campaign for all those who wish to enrol to become acquainted with the study programmes offered by the University of Latvia and make an informed choice.

The UL will admit new students to 13 faculties, 8 regional branches, 164 versatile and qualitative study programmes at college, bachelor, master, doctoral and residency level.

Studies at the UL equal acquiring excellent education and successful work in a wide range of fields. At the University of Latvia, students can acquire, strengthen and supplement their knowledge and skills in broad spectrum of subjects encompassing the fields of natural, exact, humanitarian and social sciences.

This year, students will be admitted to five new study programmes: college-level study programme “Sports Coach”, bachelor's programmes “Occupational Health and Safety at Work”, “Sports, Technology and Public Health”, and “Computer Science and Organizational Technologies”, as well as master's programme “Sport Science”.

The electronic application for studies will take place from June 25 to July 9 via the e-service portal www.latvija.lv. From July 2 to 9, the applicants will be able to approve the previously submitted electronic applications. Those, who won't have already submitted their applications for studies at the UL, will be able to submit and approve their applications in person.

In the coming years, the University of Latvia Academic Centre in Torņakalns will grow into one of the most advanced study centres and student campuses. In 2015, the House of Nature opened its doors, followed by the House of Science in January of this year, housing the laboratories that are unique at the level of the Baltic states. According to development schedule, the House of Letters for the humanities and social sciences will supplement the Academic Centre in 2022. Soon after, the campus will be extended to include apartments for students, guest lecturers, as well as sports infrastructure, House of Technology, House of Health, Academic Library, etc.
