The 77th International Scientific Conference of the University of Latvia (UL) continues from January 26 to March 31, 2019. The event has become an integral part of scientific life that continues well-established traditions spanning nearly a century.

In recent years, the UL conference has brought together many scientists representing UL and Latvia. It has also become established as an event where scientific achievements are discussed with entrepreneurs and leaders of various sectors of the national economy, and with scientists from various foreign scientific institutions. Last year, the status of the conference was changed from a national to an international conference.

In 2019, many conference sessions are held in the newly constructed House of Science at the UL Academic Centre, as well as in the House of Nature, which opened its doors earlier as the first edifice of the new centre.

This year, the work is organized in 47 sections with more than 120 sessions and plenary sessions. More than 1000 speakers have registered to date.

For the first time, registration and information is ensured at the new internet platform of the conference.

From this year on, the UL conference will be organised in sessions according to the scientific fields involving foreign scientists, as well as 12 sections dedicated to priority research topics.

The first plenary and regular sessions of the conference took place at the Faculty of Computing and the Faculty of Physics, Mathematics and Optometry on January 25.

Everyone is welcome to take part in the 77th International Scientific Conference of the University of Latvia!
