Baltijas valstu karogi

From 15 to 19 October, a University of Latvia (UL) delegation will visit Tallinn and Vilnius to introduce young people in Estonia and Lithuania to study opportunities at the UL, promote higher education in Latvia and strengthen international cooperation across the Baltic region.

Taking part in international higher education fairs will give the UL an opportunity to engage with prospective students and provide them with information about its study programmes, learning environment and international opportunities. The fairs bring together young people looking for the right university and wishing to compare education options in different countries, as well as to ask questions about choosing a course of study in person.

The UL delegation will include representatives from its faculties and the Department of International Cooperation. They will provide visitors with information about the UL’s study programmes, admission requirements, the study process and opportunities to take part in the University’s academic and international life. One-to-one conversations will allow young people to find out what matters to them and assess the UL as a potential place to study.

The visit will also include networking events at the Embassy of the Republic of Latvia in Vilnius. These will give UL representatives an opportunity to establish professional contacts, exchange experience and discuss future cooperation with Lithuanian partners. Such meetings help strengthen existing partnerships, identify new areas for collaboration and foster cooperation between the academic communities of Latvia and Lithuania.

Strengthening the UL’s international presence in the Baltic region is important both for attracting students and developing cooperation. Taking part in the fairs allows the University to connect personally with young people considering studying abroad, while also raising Latvia’s profile as a destination for high-quality, internationally competitive higher education.

UL representatives invite prospective students to attend the international higher education fairs:

  • Tallinn – 15 October, 10.00–16.00, at the Radisson Blu Hotel Olümpia, 33 Liivalaia Street.
  • Vilnius – 18 October, 11.00–16.00, at the Radisson Blu Hotel Lietuva, 20 Konstitucijos Avenue.

By taking part in the Baltic Days events, the UL continues to develop international cooperation, promote student mobility and strengthen its ties with the education and academic communities of the Baltic states.
