During the two-day program, project progress and achievements were discussed, and the next steps toward achieving the established objectives were outlined. On May 19, an international seminar was held at the UL House of Nature, where representatives of the DETAS project presented the project's mission, achievements to date, and future directions for digital transformation to Latvian higher education institutions, student organizations, and other stakeholders. The goal is to enhance student satisfaction with traineeship mobility from both administrative and professional perspectives, as well as to increase the number of successful traineeship mobilities, thereby fostering labor mobility and entrepreneurship within the European Union.
The main objectives of the DETAS project include adapting the ErasmusIntern.org platform to support high-quality traineeship mobility by integrating support services, evaluation of traineeship experiences, and professional development tools. Within the scope of the project, the University of Latvia contributes to the development and analysis of surveys, organizes focus groups among UL students, and processes the collected data for the formulation of recommendations to the European Commission.
The next in-person project meeting is scheduled to take place at the West University of Timișoara (Universitatea de Vest din Timișoara, Romania) in early 2026.
