due to its participation in research projects and cooperation with Latvian and international partners, invites applications to join its team for a project manager with a structured development track:
project manager
(part-time position (28 hours per week); after 12 months, full-time permanent employment contract)
Main duties:
- Coordinate the preparation and submission of Horizon Europe (HE) project applications;
- Identify and evaluate HE scientific calls;
- Monitor information on HE calls and programms and share this information within the faculty;
- Establish cooperation with potential partners and coordinate the preparation of project applications;
- Advise and support two tenure professors in the preparation of project proposals;
- Establish and maintain the entire HE grant pipeline —from identifying opportunities to submission and monitoring results;
- Develop project management processes, templates, and informational materials;
- Collaborate with University of Latvia departments in preparing project applications.
Requirements:
- Higher education (master’s degree);
- Relevant experience working with European Commission framework programmes;
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, planning, organizational, and collaboration skills;
- Good digital and computer skills (MS Office programs), and responsible use of LLMs;
- Excellent knowledge of English (C1 level, written and spoken; communication with foreign partners scientists and lecturers), and proficiency in Latvian for communication within the scope of job duties;
- High sense of responsibility, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a dynamic international environment.
