The UL Botanical Garden is the oldest botanical garden in Latvia, and its activities are concentrated in two main directions:

  1. research and provision of study process;
  2. development of the public environmental awareness to promote conservation of biodiversity.

An open-air 15 hectare garden and greenhouses are a home for around 5 600 plant taxa, while offering visitors a beautiful walk and cultural recreation, as well as an opportunity to explore the diversity of plant life.
