The University of Latvia has launched a unified Research Portal, providing a central access point to the University’s research achievements and the scholarly output of its researchers.

The portal provides information on:
- UL researchers and their areas of expertise;
- scientific publications;
- intellectual property outputs;
- datasets;
- research collaborations.
The portal will be progressively expanded to include information on research projects, activities, awards, and media engagement.
The Research Portal aims to:
- strengthen the international visibility of the University of Latvia;
- facilitate collaboration with academic and industry partners;
- provide transparent access to UL research achievements.
The Research Portal serves as the public interface of the University’s Research Information Management System (PURE/PIVS), which stores and maintains research data.
PURE (PIVS) is the University of Latvia’s institutional research information system. It ensures structured data management, supports reporting and research governance processes, and enables data submission to external institutions, including the Ministry of Education and Science.
