Exercise for UL Employees

The University of Latvia Sports Center invites UL employees to take part in free online recovery breaks held every weekday. These sessions can be joined in everyday clothing, without the need for any additional equipment.

Each session lasts about 20 minutes, with the main goal of getting the body moving. The exercises focus on the most common problem areas for people working in sedentary jobs – the neck, back, and lower back. Regular recovery breaks help reduce muscle tension, improve blood circulation, alleviate fatigue caused by prolonged sitting, enhance concentration and productivity, as well as lower the risk of work-related injuries and health issues linked to a sedentary lifestyle.

Recovery breaks take place:

  • Mondays 12:00–12:30 (online);
  • Tuesdays 12:00–12:30 (online);
  • Wednesdays 11:30–11:50 (online);
  • Thursdays 12:00–12:30 (online);
  • Fridays 12:00–12:30 (online).

The sessions are led by physiotherapist Annija Sileniece.

If you want to participate regularly in the Employee recharge breaks, please fill out the online application form to receive a daily notification about the upcoming break. We will update the participant list every Monday at 11.00.
