"You can't teach chess, you can only learn chess," said chess master Mikhail Botvinnik.

Keeping this small basic truth of chess in mind, we invite all students of the University of Latvia to join a chess group led by two enthusiasts of this great game - Niks Liepins.

When you come to a chess club, you will have the opportunity to learn not to get lost in the unfathomable ways of playing chess, as well as to have a good time with other game enthusiasts.

Also, if you want peace and quiet or experience how sports, art and science come together in one, the chess club will be the right place.

Students of the University of Latvia can attend chess classes free of charge.
