CONFERENCEUniversity of Latvia Sports Centre invites students to register their teams for the UL Open Basketball League 2026/2027 season!
The aim of the UL Open Basketball League is to promote basketball among UL students and staff, support the development of student basketball, and determine the champions of the 2026/2027 season.
UL students and employees, as well as UL graduates for up to one year after receiving their diploma, are eligible to participate in the league. A team may include no more than two UL graduates in its season roster. A team representing UL may also include up to three students from other higher education institutions in Latvia. Teams from other higher education institutions may also participate in the league, with a maximum of four such teams allowed per season.

Submission of team rosters: October 1, 2025, at 23:59
The team roster form will be sent to team captains after the initial application has been completed.
Each team may register up to 12 players for the season, while a maximum of 8 players may participate in each game. Each participant may represent only one team during the season.
Game schedule: Games will take place on Tuesdays from 19:30 to 23:00 at the UL BA School of Business and Finance Sports Hall, Skanstes iela 43, Riga.
Participation fee:
*UL students and employees: EUR 20 per academic semester or EUR 40 for the entire season.
*Representatives of other higher education institutions: EUR 50 per academic semester or EUR 100 for the entire season.
To participate in the league, players must purchase the appropriate UL Sports Pass. Before the team’s first game of each semester, the team captain must present proof of payment for all players.
