Don’t miss out – last chance to join the UL team at the 2026 Rimi Riga Marathon!

The University of Latvia (UL) has always supported an active and sporty lifestyle for both employees and students. Therefore, the UL Sports Centre invites you to join the UL team at the 2026 Rimi Riga Marathon and compete together for 1st place in the overall standings. Let’s run together in the largest running event in the Baltics!

This year, the UL Sports Centre offers the opportunity to participate in the 6 km, 10 km, half marathon, or marathon with a 50% discount, as we cover half of the participation fee. In addition, all participants will receive a UL sports T-shirt completely free of charge.

Participation fee with a 50% discount:

6 km – 13 EUR
10 km – 15.50 EUR
Half marathon – 25.50 EUR
Marathon – 35.00 EUR

To participate, you need to fill out the electronic registration form now. The form will be active until April 12, so don’t miss the deadline! Payment can be made within five days after submitting the form. In May, participants will be informed about race bib collection and UL sports T-shirt distribution.

How to apply to join the University of Latvia team:

  1. Fill out the electronic registration form.
  2. Pay 50% of the participation fee for your chosen distance within five days after completing the form (no later than April 12):
  • 6 km – 13 EUR
  • 10 km – 15.50 EUR
  • Half marathon – 25.50 EUR
  • Marathon – 35.00 EUR
  1. Make the payment to the account of the association “Latvijas Universitātes Sports”:
    LV18UNLA0002300700316
  2. In the payment details indicate:
    “Payment Rimi Riga Marathon (chosen distance)”

We will take care of the rest – all that’s left for you is to prepare for the race!

Prepare for the marathon wisely and take care of your health!

Join running training sessions twice a week –
Mondays at 19:00 and Wednesdays at 17:15, led by experienced triathlete Artjoms Gajevskis. Learn more about the running training sessions!

The participation of UL students and staff in the Rimi Riga Marathon is organized by the UL Sports Centre in cooperation with the Student Council of the University of Latvia.
