4th STAGE (November, 2014 - March, 2015)

November 2014 – March 2015

During stage 4 mechanical components were manufactured and their assembly, adjusting and testing has started. For a number of units, welding technology instead of screws was found beneficial, ensuring better durability and reducing need for subsequent adjustments.

Control software development and debugging continues. Ephemeris module is  finished, most of positioning and astrometry modules functionality is operational, some adjustments still pending on real hardware tests. Development of laser ranging module has started.

Deliveries of infrastructure purchase tenders are completed; all major components are now available, only a small tender for some laser transmitter components is still due.

Presentations about project have been delivered in Fotonika-2015 conference and 73^rd Conference of the University of Latvia. Two papers are published in “Geodesy and Cartography”
