Mobility to Finland and Publicity
April 2026 - June 2026
During this period, active literature research and review of various video seminars continued. Identification of existing GNSS interference detection solutions was also carried out.
From April 20 to 24, I. Mitrofanovs went on a mobility trip to the Finnish Geospatial Research Institute (FGI), where he was hosted by several FGI staff members, including Zahidul Bhuiyan, Mika Saajasto, Sanna Kaasalainen, and others. During the visit, experience was gained from the Finnish colleagues regarding GNSS research and its applications both on land and in the air. FGI also shared their expertise in unmanned technologies and other research fields.
As part of the mobility trip, I. Mitrofanovs introduced the FGI representatives to the idea, goals, and tasks of his postdoctoral research project, and additionally provided a brief overview of other research directions of the Institute of Geodesy and Geoinformatics of the Faculty of Sciences and Technology of the University of Latvia.
During this period, the postdoctoral researcher prepared two conference abstracts and delivered one presentation on the project's topic at the 84th International Scientific Conference of the University of Latvia under the section Geodynamics and Geospatial Research 2026.
Currently mobility trips to Switzerland and the Czech Republic is being planned. The purpose of the mobility trip to Switzerland is to participate in BERNESE software training, scheduled for early September this year. Meanwhile, during the mobility trip to the Czech Republic, it is planned to attend an Anubis software training course. Anubis software is widely used in the field of GNSS interference detection and monitoring.
