ABOUT
COST action OpenMultiMed Training School (TS5)
BioModelling Spring Riga 2018, May 15-17
This Training school is created to encourage the development and interaction of modeller’s and biologist’s communities by giving the opportunity to meet once a year in Riga in spring, the most beautiful time there is. We want to give a stage to the developers and users of different systems biology, systems medicine and synthetic biology modelling approaches to present their newest software, results and application examples.
Our plan is to see several software presentations in the annual BioModelling Spring Riga events in the future. This year might be exception: the course in 2018 is devoted just to COPASI tool - the first systems biology software used by our group!
The course is organized by Institute of Microbiology and Biotechnology of University of Latvia and Open Multiscale Systems Medicine (OpenMultiMed) COST Action:
- The Computational Systems Biology Group, started in October 2006 in Jelgava, Latvia. Our modeling interests started with kinetic modeling of metabolic pathways. Now we know much more about the spectrum of modeling applications and a number of brilliant modeling tools.
- The aim of the Open Multiscale Systems Medicine (OpenMultiMed) COST Action is to gather a critical mass of international researchers and coordinate them as a team that develops and evaluates a transdisciplinary framework for multiscale systems medicine, consisting of novel concepts, methodologies and technologies.
