EU Energy Diplomacy: Methods and Policy Instruments – Triple A Countries

The aim of the course is to provide an insight into EU – Triple A energy dialog. To achieve this aim students will be provided with knowledge about EU Energy policy, its external dimension as well as EU – Triple A energy diplomacy will be analysed. The course will focus on key areas of critical importance to energy. Analysis about world-wide important energy markets, for example in Central Asia, Southeast Asia, Latin America, North America and Africa will be given. Trends in energy needs for the EU and world-wide supply prospects will be discussed. One of the important issues of the course will be the substantial energy security problems, economic and environmental gains possible while implementing a "high efficiency scenario".
