On June 4, 2026, from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM, the Microbial Strain Collection of Latvia invites everyone interested to an Open Day at Jelgavas Street 1, Room 526, to explore the world of microorganisms and their importance in science.

During the event, visitors will learn about the preservation, research, and practical applications of microorganisms, as well as the role of the collection in research and international collaboration. This time, particular attention will be given to the significance of MIRRI-ERIC in microbial resource management and the development of research infrastructures, providing insight into its operating principles, international collaborations, and the opportunities it offers to researchers and scientists.


Participants will have the opportunity to gain insight into the laboratory environment, explore facilities and equipment, and learn more about the accessibility and use of microbial resources in scientific research. The event will take place in an open and educational atmosphere, promoting interest in science, microbiology, and study opportunities in this field.
