Applications of different FTIR spectroscopy techniques and development of new FTIR spectroscopy methods for qualitative and quantitative analyses of multicomponent samples. In life sciences and medicine sudies IR-spectroscopy methods are used to evaluate the macromolecular composition, accumulation of storage substances; screening, identification and discrimination of strains; control and monitoring of fermentation, composting, degradation and remediation proceeses, the metabolic responces of cells to various environmental factors.
FT-IR spectra are collected using Vertex 70, micro plate reader HTS-XT, IR-microscope Hyperion 2000 (Bruker, Germany). Miniature diamond-anvil cell is used for FTIR-microspectroscopy of very small sample quantities of samples.
