From June 9th - June 12th Dean of the Faculty of Business, management and economics assoc. prof. Gundars Berzins visited China. During visit agreement of founding "the Alliance of Silk Road Business Schools", to promote and develop collaboration between Chinese and Eastern Europe Business Schools.

At the moment we are in process of developing joint study programme with Beijing Foreign Studies University in China. The plan is that students of bachelor level  International Economic Relations and master level International Business study programmes will have possibility to obtain double diplomas, one from the University of Latvia and second from the Beijing Foreign Studies University. FBME is one of the founding members of the Alliance of Silk Road Business Schools and have influence on alliance development directions and strategy. Being a member will provide opportunities to organize exchange for teaching staff and students within business schools involved in alliance.
