China Students Visit Riga for Summer School in Communication Studies

Riga, Latvia, July 4, 2014. – A group of students from the Communication University of China will be visiting Riga July 6 – 12 for a summer school program on communication issues, organized by the Communication Studies Department at the Social Sciences Faculty of the University of Latvia. Students from Beijing will have similar one-week programs also in universities in Vilnius, Lithuania and Tallinn, Estonia.

While in Riga, the Chinese students will participate in lectures and workshops by the University of Latvia lecturers and instructors, as well as visit a number of media outlets, public relation agencies and private companies to learn about their work. During their stay, they will produce multimedia material about their visit, which will be later shared via social media channels. This is the first summer school jointly organized by the University of Latvia, Mykolo Romerio University in Vilnius, Tallinn University and Communication University of China, but there are plans to facilitate similar exchanges also in the future.
