Invitation to visit the National Integration Centre

This is an invitation to third-country nationals-students and students who have Latvian non-citizen status to visit the National Integration Centre (NIC).

We offer assistance by providing information about access to various employment, professional accreditation, Latvian language and informal education services, as well as about a supportive integration process into the Latvian community.

In addition, NIC offers free consultations with the following specialists:

A social worker who evaluates a person or family’s individual case and offers advice on improvements with the help of other specialists.
A family support worker
who introduces families to Latvian cultural and social traditions.
A psychologist
who gives emotional support and assists in developing harmonious relationships within the family circle and the wider community, as well as strengthening self assurance and trust in one's own abilities.
A Latvian language consultant
who evaluates the client’s level of language proficiency, in addition to creating the best language acquisition plan and choice of Latvian language training method.
A legal advisor
who assists with the understanding of Latvian legal norms and processes, and in the preparation of support documentation that may be necessary to communicate with state and municipal authorities.
A professional career guidance counsellor
who will evaluate the client’s professional skills and qualifications to fit the requirements of the Latvian labour market, assist with finding employment and with the accreditation of qualifications.

At our centre, you will have an opportunity to meet people in similar circumstances to you, gain new friends and talk about issues of interest to you.

We offer child minding services during your visits and consultations!

About the National Integration Centre (NIC)

NIC is a Latvian Ministry of Culture project, financed by The European Fund for the Integration of European Third Country Nationals. The Centre has been developed as a central contact point for third country nationals and as a sustainable platform for co-operation between public authorities and NGOs working in the field of integration.
