Mēs pateicamies visiem profesoriem, pētniekiem un brīvprātīgajiem par piedalīšanos šajā konferencē. Īpašu paldies vēlamies teikt Latvijas Republikas vēstniekam Korejas Republikā – Viņa Ekselencei Pēterim Vaivaram –, kas konferences laikā bija Latvijā un sniedza apsveikuma runu atklāšanas ceremonijā. Vēstniekam tika pasniegta Korejas studiju centra jaunākā publikācija – “Korejiešu valodas mācību grāmata latviešiem”.
Konferences noslēgumā balsošanā tika ievēlēts nākamais CEESOK prezidents – LU Korejas studiju centra asoc. prof. Jinseok Seo. ------------------------ The 16th conference of CEESOK(Central and East European Society of Koreanology) was held in Riga, Latvia on 29th and 30th September, 2017. This conference was participated by 45 scholars from 11 countries, and 44 pieces of dissertation and research works were presented.
We appreciate all professors, scholars and volunteers for joining our event and we would like to express the special gratitute to the Ambassador of the Republic of Latvia to Republic of Korea - H.E. Mr. Peteris Vaivars who visited Latvia fortunately during the conference schedule and delivered a congratulatory speech during the opening ceremony of the conference. We presented him the newest publication of our center, the self-learning book of Korean language for Latvians.
At the end of the conference, the new CEESOK president was elected – Assoc. Prof. Seo Jinseok of the Center for Korean Studies of University of Latvia.
