Course abstract:
The course aims at developing English language and study skills to be able to take part in international conferences, discussions, seminars, as well as to take different courses in English. Study skills, developed within the course, involve some of those, that will help to write a plan, course paper, graduation paper and dissertation, abstract and report for a conference. The course introduces to the requirements and helps to prepare for international examinations: TOEFL, IELTs (writing, listening and some aspects of speaking). Students deepen the knowledge of those grammar topics, which have not been acquired properly, to insure correct usage of the language.

Course abstract:
The course aims to provide academic and administrative staff who teach and or communicate with students in the English language with a support to develop, consolidate and hone their spoken and written language skills and become confident communicators in performing English-medium academic and administrative duties. To achieve the aim, the course reinforces the use of appropriate functional expressions in common academic and administrative situations which build rapport and mutual understanding, as well as addresses the most problematic English grammar use issues by consolidating the key structures essential for functioning effectively in the university context. The course is delivered in a tailor-made fashion, prioritising the material relevant to the course participants´ needs and language level.

Course abstract:
The course aims to provide the academic staff who teach and communicate with students in the English language for professional purposes in the area of medicine to develop, consolidate and hone their spoken language skills and become confident communicators in performing English-medium academic duties. To achieve the aim, the course reinforces the use of appropriate functional lexis in common situations in the area of medicine. By expanding the course participants’ active word stock, their skills to apply the language in the relevant context are developed. The course addresses the use of functional English grammar that is typical of medical discourse. The course participants acquire the professional language use and develop their listening, speaking and reading skills. The course is delivered in a tailor-made fashion, prioritising the material relevant to the course participants´ needs and language level.
