Course abstract:
The aim of the course is to promote academic staff competences to design study programmes and study courses in higher education, formulate learning outcomes and assesment methodologies. Course abstract:
The course is one of the modules of a program “Teaching and learning for competence development” that is grounded in research-based ideas and practice. The course is intended for pedagogues representing different subject areas in comprehensive education. During course lessons, participants will have a chance to analyse different teaching situations, lesson plan examples, do methodical assignments, engage in professional experience exchange on transversal skills, how to teach and use them in lessons of different subjects. Participants will also plan and model development of self-direction as a skill both in the context of a classroom lesson and at a grade level where all teachers are collaborating. In between lessons there will be an individual assignment.

Course abstract:
The aim of the course is to provide general overview of the EU Social law, its impact and application. Course will survey on basic problems of substantive EU social law. Particular attention will be drawn to the rights of the persons, who make a use to their rights to free movement of workforce, in the host EU member state in the field of social protection, labour law and non-discrimination. The methodology of the course is base on the studies of primary and secondary legal acts, including basic findings and tendencies of the case-law of the European Court of Justice.
