Course abstract:
The course is one of the modules of a program “Teaching and learning for competence development” that is grounded in research-based ideas and practice. The course is intended for pedagogues representing different subject areas in comprehensive education. During course lessons, participants will have a chance to analyse different teaching situations, lesson plan examples, do methodical assignments, engage in professional experience exchange on what is the way to a complex student learning outcome and how to evaluate it. Participants will be able to practice the use and development of rubrics. In between lessons there will be an individual assignment.

Course abstract:
The course is one of the modules of a program “Teaching and learning for competence development” that is grounded in research-based ideas and practice. Upon completion of this course, participants will broaden their understanding on what kind of student learning process the result is student’s competence and how to realize such a learning process in specific classroom setting. During course lessons, participants will have a chance to analyse different teaching situations, lesson plan examples, do methodical assignments, engage in professional experience exchange on teaching and assessment possibilities that are aimed at learning for competence development. In between lessons there will be an individual assignment.

Course abstract:
This course is aligned with the Ministry of Education and Science (25.11.2011. Nr.195) programme ‘’Lessons based on students’ learning: practical challenges of implementation’’ subprogram. It’s intended for teachers who teach physics, chemistry, biology, mathematics and sciences. During the course educators will have a chance to participate in professional experience exchanges related to planning and analysing a modern lesson which is focused on specific student learning outcomes. Teacher independent work is planned between sessions.

Course abstract:
Interest-related education program ''Smarty laboratory'' is designed for school children in 4th to 5th grade. During the classes, students will have a chance to improve their knowledge and skills through taking a look at the complex content of mathematics, science and programming in an integrative way. Students will conduct experiments and research, learn how to problem-solve, create simple algorithms and modelling in order to describe phenomenon, processes, situations in sciences, mathematics and programming. Students creativity will also be fostered.
