During the exam participant's knowledge of all topics will be assessed. Course abstract:
The course is designed for students who want to learn the basics of Latvian folk dances, for those who have not got any previous experience in dancing or for those who have little experience. During the course students will learn four Latvian folk dances, adapted for the stage, they will cultivate dancing style and learn dance terminology. The course provides a brief insight into the history of Latvian dances.

Course abstract:
The objectives of the course: - to acquire the basics in the perception of the Latvian language, gradually developing reading, writing, listening and speaking skills; - to build the communicative and intercultural competence for the further application of the knowledge of Latvian in the study process and professional activities.
