The goal of this class is to explore and engage the democratic work place, teams and teamwork concepts, group dynamics, self-management, leadership and effective followership. Course abstract:
The goal of the programme is to facilitate raising of the level of the competence of politics and law teachers. The pedagogues will acquire theoretical proficiency in political and juridical aspects, as well as improve their pedagogical knowledge in teaching of these subjects. During the course, particular attention will be paid to adapting of teaching methods to the needs of the Politics and Law Training Programme. Stress will be put mastering of the methods of analysis of political processes and their practical implementation. Within the section of jurisdiction, main efforts will be dedicated to novelties and current situation in this sphere, and the changes in the laws and regulations of the last year. During the course, the pedagogues will master assessment and task methods. Methods acquiring of the course’s themes include lectures, group work, Exchange of experience, discussions.

The aim of the course is to introduce participants with the notion of europeanization, its manifestation in different EU policies. During the course participants will receive information about the logic of EU enlargement, its patterns, and policies applied by the candidate countries in order to adapt to transformation. Participants of the course should be able to analyse and asses achievements and failures of europeanization in different countries. Theoretical knowledge will be applied in seminars and discussion taking place in governmental and non-governmental institutions in Latvia.
