Course annotation The goal of the course is to obtain the knowledge on the information technology potential in foreign language teaching (FLT) as well as acquire the skills of its use in FLT to a particular target group. Course objectives are as follows: 1. to acquire terminology, theoretical knowledge on constructivism as a knowledge acquisition method as well as CALL development; 2. to explore technology application experience in FLT at various European learning institutions; 3. to apply the acquired theoretical knowledge in practical assignments thus practicing IT application in a particular target group teaching; 4. to apply the theoretical knowledge in order to meet particular target learners’ needs and teaching aims in technology-enhanced materials selection, adaption and design.
Results The course results in the knowledge on the methodology development of IT application in FLT and its use in a particular target group teaching.
I. Academic competences:
1. Theoretical knowledge on constructivism as knowledge acquisition method;
2. Profound and versatile insight in CALL and the development of CALL use methodology in EFL;
3. Theoretical knowledge on the current technology application experience in various European learning institutions.
II. Professional competences:
1. Students will be able to distinguish the differences of IT use methodology in various target groups;
2. Students will acquire the skills of IT selection and its use in foreign language skills upgrading of the learners belonging to different target groups;
3. Students will be able to select, adapt and design technology-enhanced materials for FLT to a particular target group.

Requirements for obtaining credit points The course grade comprises:
Attendance of lectures and participation in seminars;
three practical assignments (30 %)
