Course annotation The main purpose of this course is to build more comprehensive foundation about grammar and syntax of Korean language. The course will help students to obtain the skill to conduct written and oral translation, to take part in conversation regarding more social-oriented topics and to enhance the ability to make presentation in refined Korean language.
Results After the class students will be able to confer a text which they have read or heard in written or oral form, to understand the articles and literature written in literary forms, to compose sentences in literary style and to conduct translation about more diverse topics.
Course plan 1. Understanding of passive and causative verbs, and composing sentences. (L8, P8)
2. Reading and composing literary sentences (L8, P8)
3. Composing indirect narrative sentences (L8, P8)
- with propositive form
- with imperative form
- with interrogative form
4. Composing abbreviation of longer senteces. (L8, P8)
5. Practicing mimetic words (sound and status) (L8, P8)
6. Explaining the situation according to sequences. (L8, P8)
7. Advanced expressions necessary for refined conversation. (L8, P8)
8. The comprehensive lecture about the low form of sentences (without respect). (L8, P8)
Requirements for obtaining credit points
Regular Attendance (15% of the final mark)
Active work at class (15% of the final mark)
Regular tests (30% of the final mark)
Written and oral exam (40% of the final mark)
