Course annotation This course will continue to deepen students’ knowledge of Chinese language, paying a special attention to grammar. There will be listening, speaking, reading and writing exercises on the intermediate level of language teaching. Another important target of the course is to introduce Chinese cultural phenomena from earlier times and also nowadays.

Results The target of the course is to achieve that students’ skills of listening, speaking, reading and writing in Chinese would be enough to understand everyday conversational topics, read periodicals and modern literature of a definite difficulty level, students will be able to make social contacts with Chinese people. They will learn grammar of the intermediate level and also will get a deeper insight into specifics of Chinese culture.

Requirements for obtaining credit points 1. Regular attendance (75% from all lessons)
2. Regular achievement: a) Chinese character dictations; b) performing homework; c) active work durind lessons, answering questions; d) passing of tests (50% from the final mark)
3. Written and oral examination in the end of semester (50% from the final mark)
