Course annotation This course is the first level of intermediate Japanese. A title of this course is „Kanji IV”. However, we will practice not only Kanji but also reading and writing to build a strong kanji in this course. We will read letters, essays and so on. We will also practice completing sentences using new grammars, and writing on topics related to the reading materials.

Results Approximately 280 kanji will be acquired during this semester. So students will be able to recognize approximately 660 kanji. By the end of the course, students will be able to write simple connected texts on topics which are of personal interest. They will also be able to understand texts that consist mainly of high frequency everyday language (e.g. personal letters, short stories, essays)
The target level is A2/B1 in accordance with Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).
