|Course annotation||The aim of the course is to prepare students for reading the professional literature in German and communication in German. The objectives of the course: to facilitate the acquisition of specialized terminology (topic: design, graphic design, computer design, photo design, history of art); to promote the development of reading skills; to acquaint students with kinds of reading and the basic reading strategies, to develop students’ skills to use the language for professional purposes and in the professional environment.|
Having successfully mastered the course, students will
-improve their skills to read specialized texts of varying difficulty levels;
-master the basic strategies of reading the texts;
-get acquainted with and try out in practice different kinds of reading: general reading, selective reading, skimming, scanning, reading for detail;
-be able to express their opinion giving valid arguments, ask questions, discuss different topics related to art.
|Requirements for obtaining credit points||Participation in practical classes, regulary completed home assignment for each practical class (reading of the text, doing the assignend tasks, working with terms, etc.).
2 tests (10+15%) and 2 independent reading sessions (10+15%) (reading of specialization texts), portfolio of the collected materials (25%) .
Examination in verbal communication.(25%)
