E-courses SDSKR003: Master’s Practice in Research
Course annotation The aim of the course is in accordance with Master’s research to conduct research activities in formal or non-formal governmental educational institution or non-governmental organisation and to examine the contribution of the selected educational institution or organisation to facilitating development of well-being and harmonised development of the society.
The objectives of the course:
1.in accordance with Master’s thesis to conduct research in the selected place of practice;
2.to examine the contribution of the selected educational institution or organisation to facilitating development of well-being and harmonised development of the society;
3.to broaden knowledge gained during research and improve skill of evaluating one’s research competence;
4.to improve skills of adapting to new situation; putting into practice positive interaction and showing positive attitude in the selected place of practice.

Results Completing the course, students will be able to demonstrate:
1.skills of conducting research in the selected place of practice in accordance with Master’s thesis;
2.critical understanding of the contribution of the selected educational institution or organisation to facilitating development of well-being and harmonised development of the society;
3.the gained knowledge, skills and attitude during integrated research and educational practice;
4.skill of adapting to new situation; putting into practice positive interaction and showing positive attitude in the selected place of practice.

Course plan 1. Introductory conference. Objectives of Master’s practice in research.
2. Research in accordance with Master’s thesis doing practice in the selected place.
3.Research on the contribution of the selected educational institution or organisation to facilitating development of well-being and harmonised development of the society.
4.Critical evaluation of the practice-based research and the gained research competence.




Requirements for obtaining credit points Assessment of the practice is made up from: accomplishing practice objectives in the selected place of practice and participation in the practice seminars (50%) as well as the presentation of practice portfolio during the practice conference (50%).
