E-courses SDSK1027: Introduction to Asian Religions I
Course annotation The course is giving knowledge concerning religions of Asia, the main landmarks of the research history; the recent problems of the scholarly research and the practical impact of the research results. The goals of the course are: 1) Introduction into Asian religions and research; 2) increase the knowledge of the diversity of research methods; 3) To get information concerning main research methods and traditions; 4)To get information about the greatest religious organizations and their links with the social processes of the related countries.


Results Students get insight about Asian religions, main landmarks of the research history; Religious geography, contemporary research directions, and research conditions. The result of the course for students will be the capability to display the academic competence into: 1. The main directions of the research of the religion; 2. clear competence concerning the religion situation, it’s theoretical and practical aspects, the diversity of the research.
