Course annotation The aim of the course is to improve understanding of educator’s professional identity and skills to evaluate pedagogic mastery.
The objectives of the course:
1.to enlarge knowledge and critical understanding of theories and good practice examples of educator’s professional identity and pedagogic mastery in the nationals, European and global context;
2.to examine contribution of educator’s professional identity and pedagogic mastery to solving problems of well-being and harmonised development;
3.improve skills of planning and putting into practice one’s teaching in accordance with requirements of labour market and innovative and scientific trends in education and practice;
4.to be able to evaluate one’s professional competence, plan and direct self-education towards harmonised development of the society.

Results Completing the course, students will be able to:
1.demonstrate detailed knowledge and critical understanding of theories and good practice examples of educator’s professional identity and pedagogic mastery in the nationals, European and global context;
2.display skill of examining contribution of educator’s professional identity and pedagogic mastery to solving problems of well-being and harmonised development;
3.plan and teach in accordance with requirements of labour market and innovative and scientific trends in education and practice;
4.evaluate one’s professional competence, planning and directing self-education towards harmonised development of the society.

Requirements for obtaining credit points The course will end up with the exam. It will be continuous assessment and consist of summing up:
1.Attendance of seminars; active participation 20 %
2.Independent work incl. conducting research 40 %
3.Exam - research presentation 40%
