E-courses Peda5160: Holistic Development of Personality in Education Practice
Course annotation The aim of the course is to facilitate the development of educational practice, which is based on critical understanding, for growth of holistic personality.
The objectives of the course:
1.to enlarge knowledge and integrated understanding of contribution of holistic education to ensuring personal well-being and harmonised development of the society;
2.to enlarge knowledge and critical understanding of national features and developmental trends of holistic theories of personality development in the common European education area;
3.to examine features of personality development in education practice;
4.to improve skill of ensuring positive mutual interaction and skill of expressing positive attitude towards evaluation of problem situation in various social environments.

Results Completing the course, students will be able to:
●demonstrate a detailed knowledge and integrated understanding of the contribution of holististic pedagogy to personal well-being and harmonised development of the society;
●display enlarged knowledge and critical understanding of national features and developmental trends of holistic theories of personality development in the common European education area;
●demonstrate skill of examining features of development of holistic personality and clearly and convincingly communicating the gained information taking into consideration peculiarities of the target audience;
●demonstrate positive interaction and positive attitude during the course.

Requirements for obtaining credit points The course will end up with the exam. It will be continuous assessment and consist of summing up:
1.Attendance of seminars; active participation 20 %
2.Independent work incl. conducting research 40 %
3.Exam - research presentation 40%
