Course annotation This course aims to advance students’ drawing experience; to use various artistic media to explore human image in drawing; to explore the portrait genre; to cognize the regularities of human depiction; to enlarge on plastic anatomy; to determine human body proportions; to offer constructive and tonal solution to image; to master drawing techniques. Practical short- and long-term drawing.
Results Upon completion of this course, students should have a sound understanding of drawing of the human body a solid knowledge of the principles of human depiction; master various techniques to draw human head and body. Students should be able to analyse portrait drawings and represent human image in individual drawings. Cultivated drawing experience leads to artistic proficiency.
