Course annotation The aim of the study course is to examine nature by means of art. It sets its objectives to draw, paint in the open air; to analyze the motifs of the surrounding nature; to study the basic principles of landscape as a genre and essence of imagery; to arrange colours, lines, texture; to master techniques used in open air art; to make sketches and long-term works; to gather material for compositions; to frame and exhibit created works.
Results On successful mastery of the course students will gain experience in drawing and painting in the open air. Students will know how to solve the motifs seen in the out of workshop environment, will be able to make nature studies of landscape, its elements; to depict architecture, household objects, animals, human figures in motion. The course will provide experience essential for artists and art educators.
