|Course annotation||The aim of the course is to gain an understanding of the psychological aspect of colour perception, colour symbolism and colour in selfexpression.
Tasks include researching expressive, aesthetic and phylosophical aspects of the choice and application of colours in works of art by various authors and of different styles and movements. Practical exercises as a verification of the uniformity of theory and practice as well as an opportunity for selfexpression.
|Results||During the course, the students will acquire and be able to demonstrate:
knowledge and comprehension of
a variety of colour applications in different spheres of art, cultures and styles and in the creation of particular authors ;
skills of applying knowledge:
they will improve their skill use colour as a mean of visual expression;
they will improve their skill of analyzing, synthesizing and evaluating :
the use colour in art;
they will improve their skill to exhibit art works;
they will improve their skill to present their results of the research.

|Requirements for obtaining credit points||An independent research paper about colour and its use in art with visual appendices and its presentation – 30%.
Exam-show: two practical tasks –40 %.
