Course annotation The aim of the course is to gain an understanding of the psychological aspect of colour perception, colour symbolism and colour in selfexpression.
Tasks include researching expressive, aesthetic and phylosophical aspects of the choice and application of colours in works of art by various authors and of different styles and movements. Practical exercises as a verification of the uniformity of theory and practice as well as an opportunity for selfexpression.
Results During the course, the students will acquire and be able to demonstrate:

a variety of colour applications in different spheres of art, cultures and styles and in the creation of particular authors ;

Requirements for obtaining credit points An independent research paper about colour and its use in art with visual appendices and its presentation – 30%.
Midterm-30%.
Exam-show: two practical tasks –40 %.
