E-courses MākZ3020: Painting I
Course annotation The aim of the study course is to enable students to get theoretical knowledge about painting, art language elements and to foster knowledge working practically. The objectives are to stimulate the understanding of art, to elaborate creativity and individual character (features) in painting; to introduce painting styles and movement; to investigate materials and tools used in painting. Painting takes place in a workshop environment as well as doing home work.
Results Successful mastery of the course provides students with understanding of the language of art and expressive media of painting, students will be acquainted with historical examples of painting. The course will elaborate the perception of an art work and will foster painting ability, develop imaginative thinking and form practical experience of art.
