Course annotation The aim of the course is to obtain the basic knowledge of colouristics, to gain a competence to use the features of colour perception and optical illusions to create compositions with different emotional tone; to give an insight into analysis of feeling the colour, to master bringing the colour in the line with artistic idea. The tutorials also include analysis of created compositions, comparing the atmosphere created in the world’s art heritage.
Results A satisfactory completion of this course would mean that the students have gained ability to look and see with eyes of an artist, feel the colour and use it to create professional compositions. The possibilities of expression the particular idea by using colour will be mastered as well as dimensions of a colour, interaction between the colours of object and space.
