|Course annotation||The course acquaints students with the main trends and development phases of the art and architecture in India and China as well as of Islamic art and architecture. A special attention is paid to the world view in order to give a profound understanding of philosophy Eastern art and architecture is based on. Students are supposed to get acquainted with the art patterns of the primary cultures (India, China) as well as with those of derivative cultures.
|Results||Students 1. are competent in the specifics of art and architecture in India, China and the Islamic states;
2. are ready to attend specific lecture courses and seminars in Eastern art and architecture;
3. can perform an independent research in the field of Eastern art and architecture.

|Requirements for obtaining credit points||The test work in the middle of the semester - 35 %. The final test (exam) - 35 %. A presentation about Eastern art and architecture (30%).
