Course annotation The aim of the course is to offer the students the opportunities:
1.To develop their comprehension of the genres and kinds of spatial arts.
2.To master moulding, studying the stages of the moulding process of reliefs and rotund sculptures.
3.To develop their experience of creative artistic activities by making impromptu mouldings in the workshop and individual works at home.

4.To comprehend the connection of the design object with the aesthetic , ethnic and heritage value of the environment design.

Results Successfully acquiring the course the students will expand their professional competence and will be capable of applying the acquired experience in their creative work.
Academic competences.
1.Consolidation of the comprehension of the plastic feeling in fine arts.
2.The students acquire knowledge about moulding and the role of moulding in the development of one’ s spatial perception.
3.The students compile scientific research materials of the works and the authors of spatial arts in Latvia and abroad.
Professional competences.
1.The students master skills of making sculptural compositions independently.
2.The students are capable of evaluating the need of regular creative seminars for further development of their professional skills.
3.The students are capable of an individual preparation of info-presentation for the customer of the design.

4.The students are capable of coming with their arguments in the discussions on the aesthetic and artistic values of their works and the works of other authors.

Requirements for obtaining credit points Attendance of lectures, practical classes and inter-shows is compulsory. There are planned 4 lectures, 12 practical classes and 3 inter-shows during the term. To be awarded credit points it is necessary to participate successfully in the practical classes and receive a positive evaluation in the inter-shows. The final mark of the study course is made up by the results of the practical work ( 30%), the result of the inter-shows ( 30%) and the examination – the result of the final show ( 40%). In the examination – the final show- mouldings beginning with the relief and ending with a round sculpture , the portfolio and the model of the interior design object with the info-booklet.
