By attending the course the students as a result acquire understanding of the main verities in general literary history, and knowledge about the development of genres, movements and poetics of 19th century. The students learn to analyze, evaluate and define the national characteristics and aesthetical merits in the literary texts of 19th century.
The knowledge acquired in this course opens the potential to understand the main verities of general literary history, and knowledge about the emergence and development of genres, movements and poetics. By attending the course the students as a consequence:
– will understand the main verities of literary history,
– will be able to be competent about literary movements and their respective main artistic qualities,
– will be able to analyze and interpret literary texts in the overall context of the respective time,
– will be able to engage in a dialogue about the values proposed in the literary texts.

|Requirements for obtaining credit points||
1.3 written tests – 75 % (each -25 %).
2.Written exam – 25 % .
