Course annotation
The course is designed as a continuation of courses Asian LiteratureI,II/Japan. The students will get acquainted with newest tendencies in modern Japanese literature and will develop a critical approach to various subjects: the attitude towards home, family, woman, body, sexuality, the interpretation of personality, passion, the influence of commercialism on modern Japanese literature.


Results During this course students with get a better understanding of Japanese modern literature and its impact upon intellectual traditions. Students will also develop a critical view towards various aspects in modern Japanese literature. They will also improve their research skills as well as will practice in giving presentations.
