Course annotation The aim of the course is to provide knowledge concerning the main questions of literary theory. Peculiarities of literary genres and modes are discussed with an insight into theoretical concepts. Practical analyses of poetry, prose and drama texts are provided. Particular attention is devoted to such theoretical concepts as the art system, type of poetry, literary movement, theoretical schools, style etc.
Results Students will have acquired knowledge of the basic issues of literary theory as well as theoretical and practical skills of analyzing poetry texts.
