DESCRIPTION:The Department of Computer Science\, Faculty of Science and Technology\, University of Latvia\, as a part of the Latvian Quantum Initiative\, invites high school students to take part in an innovative one-day workshop “My Photonic Ship” on October 4\, 2025\, at the University of Latvia\, Riga (Raiņa bulvāris 19).\nParticipation is limited to 20 students\, and basic Python programming knowledge is required. No prior knowledge of quantum computing is necessary. A short pre-workshop preparation task will be given to participants\, and successful completion will be required to attend.\nRegistration is open until October 1\, 2025 (first-come\, first-served).\nA preparatory online Q&A session will be held on October 2\, 2025\, at 19:00 for registered participants.\nRegistration form.\nThis workshop is part of the celebration of the 2025 International Year of Quantum Science and Technology.\nMore information.
