The European People's Party Group’s 3rd Study Visit for Students to Brussels, Belgium
The European People's Party Group in the Committee of the Regions (EPP/CoR) has organized the third Study Visit for Master Students of European Studies from all EU Member States. After receiving more than 500 applications, 30 students from 29 Member States were kindly met on November 30, 2010 at the Committee of Regions by the Secretary General of the EPP Group in the CoR. Viktorija Stadnika from the University of Latvia was selected and represented Latvia at this Study Visit.
Participants took part in parallel learning sessions about the European Grouping for Territorial Cooperation and the Digital Agenda. A meeting with Jan Olbrycht, a Member of the Regional Development Committee from the European Parliament was held with participants, while students were also given the opportunity to be involved in the Plenary Session held by the Committee of the Regions. The Study Visit also exposed participants to various other presentations, and upon completion of the Study Visit on December 2, 2010, participants received certificates of participation.
